About Us
We're Simon and Helen Berriman, a couple from Bromley in South East London, and this is our corner of the internet where we write about naturism, body positivity, and what it genuinely means to live a life less dressed.
We came to naturism very differently. Simon had been a naturist for years before we met — quietly, privately, navigating a relationship where his lifestyle felt like something to be hidden rather than shared. Helen came to it reluctantly, then sceptically, then — during the strange, stripped-back days of the first COVID lockdown — completely. Now she's Women's Officer for British Naturism, Women in Focus podcast host, a columnist for H&E Naturist magazine, and spends more time without clothes than Simon does.
Between us we bring very different perspectives to naturism. Simon has lived it as a long-term lifestyle choice, committed to the idea that nudity is simply a more honest way of being in this world. Helen has lived it as a transformation — from someone who couldn't bear nudity in the kitchen, to someone who writes and speaks about it professionally, who appeared nude on ITV's Good Morning Britain, and who genuinely believes it changed her life.
That range — the long-timer and the convert, the philosopher and the advocate — is what shapes what we write here.
We write about naturism as a lifestyle and a philosophy. We write about body image, menopause, mental health, and the peculiar British relationship with nakedness. We write about community, friendship, and what happens when you remove the signals that clothing sends. We try to be honest, evidence-based where it matters, and with humour where it helps!
We believe nudity is not a statement. It's not provocative, not political, and most certainly not sexual. It's just… easier. And we think the world would be a kinder, less anxious place if more people could discover that for themselves.
We're glad you found us.
